A good 75% of Mazda 2s I see on a daily basis here in South Florida are basic-spec rentals. We were actually passed by one last week on Florida's Turnpike doing at least 95-100 mph. Doesn't really surprise me.

It's the fun little rental that can get everyone in trouble. It's such a zippy little car. Most of the people that own them are either elderly, teenage girls on their way to the nearest Starbucks, or guys under 40 that need a small, cheap car to autocross.

Had one of these for about 3 years. Best $600 I ever spent. I never received any tickets in it. I was already in my 20's when I bought it though. 3.0 Vulcan V6 with the 3 speed auto. Excellent in snow. I miss it.

We had one come through the dealership I work at with aftermarket wheels and an invidia q300. Was actually pretty awesome, they definitely have some pep in their step compared to other suvs I've driven.
